Alien Romulus first impressions reviews are in – fans say the film…..
One of the deadliest creatures in cinematic history is back, and people are loving it. Fede Alvarez’s “Alien: Romulus” has finally been screened for members of the film press, and early reactions to the R-rated tentpole have been glowing, with plenty of jump scares, practical effects and a killer cast. Many film critics agree that Alvarez has delivered one of the better entries in the 45-year franchise that began with Ridley Scott’s “Alien” in 1979.
“['Alien: Romulus'] is a madcap rollercoaster ride through the previous six 'Alien' films, pulling bits from all of them to tell a focused, largely self-contained story filled with glorious gore and jump scares,” Gizmodo's Germain Lussier wrote on X/Twitter. “It gets better as it goes on, and ends with a phenomenally big swing of a third act.”
