More than a year into Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, she’s found ways to keep the show fresh and new for those who’ve been waiting to see her since she opened in Phoenix, Arizona in March 2023. Since the tour kicked off in the United States last year, Swift has released two re-recorded albums, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version), in addition to a brand new double album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Taylor Swift – mirrorball (The Eras Tour Guitar Version)
When she resumed touring in 2024, she flew from Tokyo, Japan to Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada (where she had previously performed) to see her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, win the Super Bowl.
Each show on the Eras Tour features an acoustic set, in which Swift performs at least two songs tailored specifically for that night's show. Initially, she wouldn't allow herself to perform any repeats unless she messed up the lyrics, but now she's thrown that rule out the window and gotten more creative, combining songs into mashups and playing up to four of them in a segment. The first three songs are played on guitar, and then she switches to piano for the second half before ducking under the stage to resume the setlist — which has now been shortened and expanded to include a Tortured Poets Department era and set.
Below you'll find the surprise songs Taylor Swift recently performed in Europe, as well as a rundown of all the songs she's performed on the tour so far.
