EXCLUSIVE: LA-based production company The Screen Company, led by producer David Brown (The Fallout), is launching a domestic distribution and sales division.
Distribution arm ScreenReleases will handle third-party acquisitions and work with filmmakers on projects in development. Brown says the company will seek projects across all genres and budgets.
Former UTA executive Mike Rose has been brought on board as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the new division and handle acquisitions. Rose, who most recently spent nine years at UTA as Head of Story, also has stints at Disney, TWC, Miramax and CAA.
