American Monster on ID recently re-examined the murder case of Ann Metz by her estranged husband, Marshall Metz. The episode, titled "I Love My Wife," aired on the network on June 30, 2024.

The official synopsis of the episode reads: "Ann Metz lives for her family, especially her two beautiful granddaughters; her husband Marshall resents Ann giving her time to anyone but him, and he will take desperate measures to hold on to her."

The Frederick News-Post reported that Ann Metz died on September 29, 2009, after her husband, Marshall Metz, shot her. The incident occurred at the couple's Dogwood Court home, with Marshall killing Ann at the scene. The couple had been married for nearly 40 years, but had been estranged for about a month at the time of the crime.
