Navarro files her nails during border wall debate
Ana Navarro is best known these days as the co-host of ABC's "The View," but she likely won't bring up the connection when she hosts one night of the Democratic National Convention this week.
Although “The View” operates under the ABC News banner, Navarro is not held to the same standards as full-time journalists because she is an opinion-oriented contributor to the program, according to a person familiar with the matter, rather than a traditional journalist who is expected to avoid any appearance of bias. ABC News declined to make executives available for comment, but her role on “The View” is not expected to be publicly disclosed.
Her presence at the convention this week has led to widespread criticism on social media and stories from outlets such as Fox News and Entertainment Weekly.
