Andrew Scott to star in StudioCanal and Working Title's D-Day film 'Pressure'
EXCLUSIVE: In-demand Andrew Scott, recently nominated for an Emmy for Ripley, has been cast as the lead in Studiocanal and Working Title's upcoming D-Day film Pressure, which we announced earlier this summer.
Based on true events, BAFTA winner Scott, who also received critical acclaim for All Of Us Strangers, plays Group Captain James Stagg, the Allied Chief Meteorologist. His job was to brief Supreme Commander General Eisenhower on the weather conditions that would make or break their Normandy invasion. The decision-making was crucial to the fate of the war and the course of history.
Anthony Maras (Hotel Mumbai) will direct the ticking-clock thriller, which begins filming in the UK in September. Further casting is underway, with Studiocanal handling worldwide sales.
