The DC Studios series debuts on December 5, with new episodes airing weekly on Thursdays thereafter. The first season will consist of seven episodes and will conclude on January 16.
James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, is the writer and executive producer of the series. The official logline states that the show "follows a secret team of imprisoned monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they're your last, worst option."
The cast includes Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
