Asa Butterfield (“Sex Education”), Molly Windsor (“Three Girls”), Fra Fee (“Hawkeye”), Siobhan Finneran (“Time”) and Christopher Eccleston (“True Detective”) will lead the cast of “Out of the Dust,” a new Netflix series from “Intergalactic” writer Julie Gearey.
“Out of the Dust” is a psychological thriller set in a conservative Christian sect. The story centers on Rosie (Windsor), a dutiful wife and mother who finds herself on a dangerous path of emancipation and sexual awakening when she meets Sam (Fee), an escaped convict.
Butterfield plays Adam, Finneran plays Mrs Phillips and Eccleston joins as Mr Phillips in the six-part series from Double Dutch Productions, part of Banijay UK.
"Rosie lives with her husband Adam and daughter in a closed Christian community," the synopsis reads. "The fateful arrival of escaped convict Sam into her life exposes the realities and limitations of her world; perhaps this hidden religious community does not have her best interests at heart. And, as the cracks in her marriage begin to show, Sam steps in as her savior. But with his dark criminal past, where lies the greater danger – with the cult or with Sam?"
