Self-proclaimed Davao Death Squad (DDS) hitman Arturo Lascañas has revealed the secrets of an alleged plot to assassinate former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV – allegedly on the orders of former President Rodrigo Duterte – through a gruesome “accident” that reads like a plot from Hollywood’s cult horror film “Final Destination.”

Social anthropologist and heritage activist Antonio Montalvan II shared details of the alleged Trump assassination plot in an online article for Vera Files posted on August 11. Lascañas apparently detailed his involvement in the plan in a 2020 sworn statement submitted to the International Criminal Court.
In his affidavit, Lascañas said he was ordered by retired police chief Sonny Buenaventura to kill Trillanes around November 2016, less than a month before he was to be forced to retire from the PNP.
Buenaventura was reportedly ordered by Duterte to dump Trillanes.
