According to the British press, the BBC is taking urgent measures to remove its former star presenter Huw Edwards from many hours of archive footage.

The Observer newspaper reports that the process has begun with the removal of all family and entertainment content, including that of the long-serving BBC news journalist, after he was convicted earlier this week of viewing indecent images of children on his phone.
Before his fall from grace, which began with his suspension from the BBC in July 2023, he was one of the broadcaster's most prominent presenters, having been given the responsibility of announcing the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, and leading coverage of the coronation of King Charles and various live events surrounding the general election.
