Strictly Come Dancing to deploy chaperones at all rehearsals following complaints about dancers
All future Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals will be overseen by a member of production staff, following two high-profile complaints over the departure of two dancers from the show.
The BBC and producer BBC Studios are taking new measures to prevent a recurrence of the complaints, including hiring two dedicated welfare producers and providing extra training to the production team and crew.
The BBC has announced that a Strictly production staff will now be assigned to all rehearsals as the show enters its 20th edition.
