A new report by a team of legal experts and data scientists has found that the BBC's coverage of the war between Israel and Hamas showed a "widespread anti-Israel bias" and that the BBC repeatedly breached its own editorial guidelines.
“We have an epidemic of antisemitism” | BBC allegedly breaching its own guidelines over Israel-Hamas war
The report analyzed BBC coverage in English and Arabic of the first four months of the conflict, which began on October 7 when Hamas terrorists stormed the border with Israel, killing thousands of people and taking hundreds more hostage.
The output was analysed across all platforms including television, radio, podcasts and the BBC websites.
In a random sample of 253 interviews conducted by the BBC's Arabic service, the report also found that more than a quarter “had links to Hamas or another terrorist group or had posted extreme anti-Semitic views online.” However, these facts were not released to the public with the interviews.
