Former WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix, wife of AEW star Adam Copeland, has announced her departure from WWE. The three-time WWE Women's Champion had an illustrious career with the promotion.
Beth Phoenix Confirms Her Departure From WWE
She established herself as one of the most formidable female wrestlers in the history of the company. Phoenix made her WWE debut in 2006 and quickly became known for her strength in the women's division. In addition to her three WWE Women's Championship reigns, she also captured the Divas Title during her time with the company.
After taking a hiatus from WWE in 2012, Phoenix returned to the spotlight in 2017 when the promotion inducted her into its Hall of Fame. In 2018, Phoenix took on a part-time role as a color commentator, focusing primarily on women's matches.
She announced her return from retirement and reformed her tag team with Natalya, which culminated in a match at WrestleMania 35. She later resumed commentary on NXT. However, she returned to the ring to make several appearances alongside her husband, Edge, from 2022 to 2023.
