Beyonce Introduces Team USA, From Simone Biles to Noah Lyles | Paris Olympics | NBC Sports
The opening ceremony of the Paris Games has only just ended and it's already starting to look more and more like the #BeyLympics, at least for Team USA.
After giving Vice President Kamala Harris permission to use her “Freedom” song for her newly launched presidential campaign, Beyoncé is now carrying the banner for Simon Biles, LeBrone James, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, Katie Ledecky and all the other American athletes competing in France over the next 16 days.
In a video that aired during NBC and Peacock's primetime rerun of Friday's opening ceremonies, the Cowboy Carter superstar, in a hat and boots, gave her "YA YA" hit a makeover for the home team. "Look at America, y'all," Beyoncé proclaimed as Biles, gymnasts Fredrick Richard and Asher Hong and others appeared on screen. "These hopes and dreams, these superstars representing us."
