The House of Representatives has approved the report of the bicameral conference on the contradictory provisions in the proposed law to combat economic sabotage in agriculture.

House Committee on Agriculture and Food Chairman and Quezon Rep. Mark Enverga said the ratification “is a major victory for our agricultural sector and the Filipino people.”
Enverga said the measure “is intended to increase agricultural productivity and protect farmers and fishermen from smugglers, hoarders and profiteers.”
The measure's approval is a priority of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).
