Bishop Marcelino Antonio Maralit Jr. of Boac has called on church communicators not to be influenced by online trolls and bashers.
In a report on the news website of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), the bishop reminded them to rise above attacks and remain committed to spreading the message of faith.
The call was made during the closing of the National Catholic Social Communication Congress held on Thursday in Lipa City.
“In the midst of and in the face of bashers, trolls, creators’ blocks and other realities that appear negative… we must not be distracted from our mission,” said Maralit, who directs the CBCP’s Episcopal Commission for Social Communications.
