Crunchyroll has released the English subtitled trailer for the highly anticipated U.S. premiere of Blue Lock the Movie – Episode Nagi. This comes after the soccer-focused anime wrapped its 24-episode first season over a year ago.

The video highlights the origin story of fan-favorite character Seishirō Nagi, who was first introduced in Season 1, Episode 7 as part of Team V. Despite his laid-back personality, he is a naturally talented athlete who initially has no interest in becoming a professional soccer player. The film is currently scheduled to debut in U.S. theaters on June 28, 2024.
"'That's a hassle.' That was the favorite saying of second-year high school student Nagi Seishiro as he lived his boring life. Until Mikage Reo, a classmate who dreamed of winning the World Cup, discovered Nagi's hidden ability, inspiring him to play soccer and share his extraordinary talent," the synopsis reads. "One day, he receives an invitation to the mysterious BLUE LOCK Project. What awaits him there is a meeting with the best strikers from all over the country. Nagi's dream of becoming the best, together with Reo, will take this prodigy to a world he has never known. A prodigy can only be shaped when someone discovers him… now, striker Nagi Seishiro's incredible talent and personality will set the soccer world on fire."
