According to 2K's description of the title: "See if you have what it takes to go down in history as a legendary Vault Hunter as you search for secret alien treasures and blow up everything in sight."
The game developed by Gearbox and announced at gamescom on Tuesday can now be added to wishlists.
2K Games parent company Take-Two Interactive in March revealed plans to acquire "Borderlands" maker Gearbox from Embracer Group for $460 million. As part of that deal, which closed in June, Take-Two acquired the rights to Gearbox IP, including "Borderlands," "Tiny Tina's Wonderlands," "Homeworld," "Risk of Rain," "Brothers in Arms" and "Duke Nukem."
