During its Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation, Gearbox Software surprised fans by revealing a Borderlands 4 trailer, confirming a new installment in the popular looter-shooter.
Borderlands 4 – Official Teaser Trailer
The trailer for the new game didn't show much, but it did open with the Firehawk symbol appearing in space before a planet came into view. A meteor was then seen crashing to the ground and a robotic arm was seen picking up a mask worn by the game's "psycho" characters.

Currently, there's no word yet on Borderlands 4. The trailer pegs a release date sometime in 2025, so fans should expect to see more sooner rather than later. Prior to Borderlands 4, the last entry in the FPS/RPG series was 2019's Borderlands 3 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
