Take your acting skills to the next level with Brian Cox | BBC Maestro Official Trailer
“There are so many people talking nonsense about film,” actor Brian Cox concluded angrily this afternoon at the Edinburgh Film Festival.
The veteran Scottish actor, now best known for his starring role in the HBO series Succession, was a surprise guest at an industry talk at the revamped Scottish Festival, where, as usual, he shared his industry story.
At the well-attended talk, led by Rowan Woods, director of the Edinburgh TV Festival, Cox said he believes cinema is currently “in a really bad state” and has been largely overtaken by the work being made on television.
