Dear reader, the wait for Bridgerton season 3, part 2 is almost over, because June 13th is coming. But Netflix keeps the suspense high with the reveal of a new trailer and images of the continuation of the love story of Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton), aka Polin.

In the two-minute trailer, Lady Whistledown welcomes viewers back to the Ton following Penelope and Colin's joyous engagement following their steamy carriage ride at the end of Part 1. "Last night an announcement came with great speed," reveals Julie Andrews' narration, as the Bridgerton family's reaction to the news is revealed. While Violet (Ruth Gemmell) is clearly ecstatic, Eloise (Claudia Jessie) is less so, as she and Penelope's feud over Whistledown rages on.

And it seems the gossip will play a central role, as her true identity remains a mystery to Colin. “Who needs fresh air when there’s fresh gossip?” Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) asks aloud to her brother Lord Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis). She’s very happy to hear about the engagement, as others have mixed reactions, most notably Portia Featherington (Polly Walker) who is initially shocked before embracing the benefits of what a Bridgerton-Featherington match could mean.

Although Penelope is not forthcoming about her Whistledown secret, she eventually admits, "I've always loved you, Colin. There's nothing that makes me happier than being with you," and lays her long-held feelings on the table now that they're together. They dance together and it seems like things couldn't get any better for the couple, who also seem to be getting pretty steamy in front of a long-awaited mirror.
