Senate President Jinggoy Estrada on Monday (August 5) praised the decision of the Philippines and Germany to expand their defense cooperation.

“By committing to broader defense cooperation, the Philippines and Germany are strengthening their diplomatic and military ties,” he said.
“This initiative represents an important step in enhancing our country's defense capabilities and strategic partnerships,” he added.
Estrada issued the statement after the two governments announced their commitment to revitalize defense cooperation following a meeting between Defense Minister Gilbert Teodoro and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorious on Sunday (August 4).
