'Bite Me': No, that's the name of the movie playing at The DEC
Prime Video has rounded out the series regular cast for The Runarounds, a fictional YA drama inspired by the real-life band of the same name, from the creators of Outer Banks and Skydance TV. Brooklyn Decker (Grace & Frankie), Maximo Salas (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies), Marley Aliah (Remember Yesterday, The Devil's Stomping Ground), Hayes MacArthur (Angie Tribeca), Mark Wystrach (The Eyes of Tammy Faye), and Shea Pritchard (The Summer I Turned Pretty) join previously announced real-life band members William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher, along with Lilah Pate and Kelley Pereira. The band previously appeared in a Season 3 episode of Outer Banks, which is currently in its fourth season on Netflix.
Filming begins this month. The series will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Like Outer Banks, the series is set in Wilmington, NC. Created by Jonas Pate, it follows a tight-knit group of young adults from all walks of life who come together to form a rock band the summer after high school graduation. The Runarounds will have to choose between succumbing to the pressures of real life or risking it all to become the greatest band of all time.
