House of Representatives Assistant Minority Leader and Gabriela Women's Party Representative Arlene Brosas has called for a thorough investigation into the allocation of P244.57 billion for flood control projects following floods in several parts of Luzon.

Brosas noted that the floods occurred despite President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s claim during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) that 5,500 flood control projects had been completed.
“The discrepancy between the government's claims and the reality on the ground is alarming.
Brosas also called on the Senate and House of Representatives to conduct a comprehensive study on the existing flood control programs under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
