Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian could relate to the stress experienced by Cebu Pacific passengers as they shared their “horrific stories” about their flights on the Gokongwei-based budget carrier during a Senate hearing on Wednesday (June 21).

Gatchalian expressed dismay over the apparent excuses made by Cebu Pacific during the Senate Committees on Tourism and Public Services hearing.
“As I listen to the Senate hearing on airline complaints… because my work takes me to all these places, I have my own share of horror stories about Cebu Pacific. … the tone of Cebu Pacific is perhaps the best way to make it happen,” he said, without elaborating.
During the Senate hearing, Cebu Pacific Chief Commercial Officer Alexander Lao apologized for the flight disruptions that have affected several passengers in recent months.
