Candace Cameron Bure BLASTS Olympic Opening Ceremony
In a video on Instagram, Full House and Fuller House actress Candace Cameron Bure expressed her disapproval of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris.
“I love the Olympics,” she began, noting that her husband, former Montreal Canadiens right winger Valeri Bure, and several members of his family are Olympic medalists. “The Olympics have always brought me so much joy. It’s the best athletes in the world competing for the title.
"So to see such an incredible and beautiful event that's going to happen in the next two weeks and to see the opening ceremonies completely blaspheme and mock the Christian faith with their interpretation of the Last Supper was disgusting," she said. "And it made me so sad. And someone said, 'You shouldn't be sad. You should be angry about it.' And I thought, 'Trust me. It makes me angry.' But I'm even sadder because I'm sad for souls," she said.
