What Subaru Buyers Want
Consumers will spend more time watching videos in the car, creating more opportunities for content owners and video entertainment services.
More than half of respondents to a new connected car entertainment study from DTS, an Xperi company, are interested in having screens in both the front and rear cabins of their next car. Buyers of luxury and ultra-luxury vehicles in particular are interested in both in-car screens and video entertainment services.
Radio remains the most sought-after in-car entertainment experience, though 39% of survey respondents say they now watch video in their car, up from 31% in 2022. The top reasons cited for watching video in the car are to entertain kids and to kill time while waiting for someone or something.
