Cebu Pacific, a budget airline owned by the Gokongwei family, has apologized to passengers following a flood of complaints about flight disruptions.

Alexander Lao, president and chief commercial officer of Cebu Pacific, also vowed to improve air services, citing the company's commitment to “safe, affordable and reliable flights.”
The airline's top executive appeared before a Senate hearing on complaints about the company's overbooking, offloading and booking problems. The investigation is intended to mobilize government agencies to address such concerns and consider steps to compensate affected customers.
“We sincerely apologize to our passengers for the disruptions and assure you that we are committed to resolving these challenges,” Lao said.
