Chainsaw Man Chapter 172 was released on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 on Shueisha's Manga Plus and Viz Media's official websites. The chapter is supposed to show the aftermath of Special Division 5, the group of devils, marching towards Chainsaw Man to kill him. However, little did they know that Denji was already one step ahead of them and was watching them from a distance.

To make up for the lack of action in the previous installments, Chainsaw Man chapter 172, "Bzzz! Boom! Chomp!", is one of the more action-packed chapters in the manga series. With Denji being forced to manifest his devil form and Nayuta's death confirmed at the sushi restaurant, there was nothing to stop Chainsaw Man from unleashing hell on his enemies.

So the chapter starts with Chainsaw Man attacking the Special Division 5 fiends. The half-crocodile-headed fiend senses Chainsaw Man coming from behind and jumps to dodge the attack. When Chainsaw Man attacks the fiends, he slices them all to pieces. Funnily enough, the fiend who thinks he dodged the attack also gets decapitated.
