Chicago PD Season 11 will mark Tracy Spiridakos' final turn as Detective Hailey Upton. With the potentially fatal Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) leaving a cliffhanger at the end of Season 10, could her departure be the second major departure of the upcoming season? Upton and Ruzek's future remains uncertain in Season 11 Episode 1 photos, but it sounds like Spiridakos' detective will have a lot to do in the episode.
Chicago PD 11×13 Promo "More" (HD) Season Finale
One Chicago Wednesdays returns to NBC on Wednesday, January 17, beginning with the Med Season 9 premiere at 8/7c, Fire Season 12 premiere at 9/8c and PD Season 11 at 10/9c. In the PD premiere, titled "Unpacking," Upton is assigned to shadow a crisis prevention team, but finds her approach to police work at odds with the team's mental health clinician. The case brings Upton's personal struggles to the surface, but Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) has her back.
The mental health clinician appears to be played by guest star Jason Bowen, seen below as Dr. Julian Mitchell. He's joined in a photo with Spiridakos by a recurring guest star; Sara Bues as Assistant District Attorney Nina Chapman is involved in what appears to be a tense office conversation. If Bowen looks familiar, it's probably because you've seen him in episodes of Law & Order: SVU, The Good Fight, Blue Bloods, Orange Is the New Black, and more.
There are more tense moments in the gallery, too. Upton and Officer Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) are both on the hunt for something or someone, and with Atwater’s gun drawn, danger could be imminent. As they work together on the crisis prevention team, the decision to pull a gun on whoever they’ve found may be the very thing that worries the mental health worker.
