Chick-Fil-A is reportedly launching a family-friendly streaming service
Chick-fil-A — yes, that Chick-fil-A — is looking to launch a streaming platform. The fast-food chain is working with Hollywood production companies and studios to create family-friendly, mostly unscripted original shows. The coop is also in talks to license and acquire content, according to a source who pitched the project.
One of those programs is a game show from Glassman Media (NBC's "The Wall") and Sugar23 (Netflix's "13 Reasons Why"), which has a 10-episode order.
Budgets for unscripted are around $400,000 per half hour, sources said. Chick-Fil-A is also considering scripted projects and animation. “Top Gear” and “The X Factor” alum Brian Gibson is leading the programming charge.
