The 49th Toronto International Film Festival kicked off on September 5, which also marked the launch of the Chinese Film Market Screenings. The event, organized by China Film Co-Production Corporation, will showcase five Chinese films: “Post Truth,” “Embrace Again,” “Love Never Ends,” “Endless Journey” and “Viva La Vida.”

Since its inception in 1976, TIFF has been known for its large showcase of films each year, and has become one of the most important film festivals on a global scale. The festival is also an important platform for promoting film exchange and trade.
