Chris Pratt's stunt double Tony McFarr dies at 47
Tony McFarr, a stuntman best known for playing the double of actor Chris Pratt in blockbusters like Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, died from an irregular heartbeat caused by a problem with his heart valves, the Orange County, Florida coroner confirmed to Deadline.
The ME's Office ruled the death an accident, saying McFarr likely died of a cardiac arrhythmia due to mitral valve insufficiency. Contributing factors include alcohol intoxication and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, better known as COPD, a common lung condition that causes narrowing of the airways and difficulty breathing.
McFarr was found dead in his Florida home outside Orlando on May 13. He was 47 years old.
