Shelby Oaks has a distributor!
Neon recently delivered a stellar box office performance with Osgood Perkins’ horror film Longlegs and has now acquired worldwide rights to the upcoming found footage and documentary crossover Shelby Oaks, written and directed by filmmaker and YouTube creator Chris Stuckmann.
Stuckmann's debut film will have its world premiere at the Fantasia Festival on Saturday.
The result of a 2022 Kickstarter campaign that raised $1.39 million for the film in less than a month — the most-funded horror film ever on Kickstarter — Shelby Oaks follows Mia (Sullivan) as she frantically searches for her sister Riley (Durn), who ominously disappeared in the final tape of her investigative series, “Paranormal Paranoids.”
