According to Sycamore, the studio focuses on creating stories that are rooted in beauty, truth and goodness and that elevate the vision of their audience.
As CEO, McGuigan will be responsible for the company's strategy, operations and growth. As Chief Creative Officer, Reckart will oversee the studio's creative direction, guide the development of projects and ensure the quality and integrity of the studio's storytelling.
The company's first project is to bring Hugh Lofting's beloved children's classic "Doctor Dolittle" to life as an animated feature. Writing partners Cal Brunker and Bob Barlen ("Paw Patrol: The Movie," "Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie") will adapt the script. Sycamore Studio's projects include both existing IP and original stories.
