Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games have announced that Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is making a comeback on modern gaming platforms. The remaster includes everything players know and love from the original release, plus some new content to enjoy.

Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles will be released on January 23, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will cost $19.99, although those interested can get a 10% discount on the game if they pre-order it. Pre-orders are live now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
Originally released in 2000, Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a side-scrolling arcade action game set during the prequel trilogy films. Players can choose from a variety of characters including Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Plo Koon, and play through iconic locations from the film, either alone or with a friend via couch co-op across all 10 levels and bonus mini-games.
This remaster includes all of the original characters and levels straight from the star. So yes, players can jump right into the game as Darth Maul, Captain Panaka, or Queen Amidala when they start the game. This particular version includes 13 new playable characters that can be unlocked after the first playthrough. These new characters include Rifle Droid, Tusken Raider, Ishi Tib, and Weequay. Some other new features include a modern control scheme, lightsaber color swap, classic cheat codes, and other surprises.
