Earlier this month, U.S. Reps. Jerry Nadler and Joaquin Castro sent their second letter to the CEOs of Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery, asking for more details about the companies' joint sports streaming platform and saying executives had been "inadequate" in their response thus far.
With the Justice Department reportedly also investigating Venu and a lawsuit pending against its affiliates, you’d think the agency would be at risk of running into serious antitrust law. Congressmen certainly think so.
“We are concerned that this joint venture — which brings together the owners of 80 percent of all sports media content — could reduce competition and leave consumers worse off,” Nadler and Castro wrote in their letter.
