The Supreme Court has ordered all courts in the National Capital Region (NCR) to suspend operations on Wednesday (July 24) due to bad weather.

“As authorized by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo and taking into consideration the forecasted rainfall expected to be moderate to heavy due to the southwest monsoon and intensified by Typhoon Carina as reported by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, work is suspended for today, July 24, 2024, in all courts and offices in the Judicial Region of the National Capital Region,” read the notice issued by Judicial Administrator Raul Villanueva.
Villanueva instructed the courts that “those affected by the said suspension should be notified thereof.”
The court administrator also assured the public that “the courts and offices in the NCR should be accessible to lawyers, court users and litigants through their hotline numbers and/or official email addresses.”
