Maggie Q Films New Renee Ballard TV Series in Los Angeles #shorts
Courtney Taylor has been cast as Maggie Q's series regular in Prime Video's Bosch spinoff Untitled Renee Ballard Series.
The Untitled Renée Ballard series follows Detective Renée Ballard (Q), who is tasked with leading the LAPD’s new Cold Case Unit—a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest caseload in the city. Ballard approaches these frozen-in-time cases with empathy and determination. When her investigations uncover a larger conspiracy, she must rely on the help of her retired ally, Harry Bosch, to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life.
Taylor plays Samira Parker, a cautious, impulsive, and tough woman with a burning desire for justice. Growing up, almost everyone Samira knew shared a healthy distrust of the police, but her grandfather, who Samira looked up to as a child, was in law enforcement and believed in using his badge to protect and help his community. But being a police officer now is a different challenge than it was then.
