Crawl was the alligator horror film that was released in July 2019 and was directed by Alexandre Aja. The Paramount Pictures film grossed approximately $91 million worldwide at the box office, against an estimated budget of $13.5-15 million.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount is now officially developing a sequel to Crawl.

The film is expected to begin filming in Europe this fall. The film will feature a new cast and be set in New York City, sources who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter said.
