Cristiano Ronaldo, the person with the most followers on social media (917 million followers across different platforms and counting) and considered by many to be one of the best footballers of all time, starts his own YouTube channel.

The channel – called “UR” and launched on Wednesday – will see the 39-year-old, who is currently captain of both Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia and the Portugal national team, talk about his “greatest passion” (football), according to the news announcement, as well as “his other interests, including family, wellness, nutrition, preparation, recovery, education and business.” Ronaldo will also speak with various guests.
"I'm really excited to bring this project to life," Ronaldo said. "It's been on my mind for a long time, but now we finally have the chance to make it happen. I've always enjoyed such a strong relationship with fans on social media and my YouTube channel gives me an even bigger platform to do that and they'll get to know more about me, my family and my views on many different topics. I'm also looking forward to sharing conversations with guests who will undoubtedly surprise people!"
