Crooked Media and the union representing workers at the progressive media company behind the popular show “Pod Save America” said in a joint statement that they had reached a contract agreement after more than a year of negotiations. The WGA East-affiliated Crooked Media Workers Union also retracted its claim that the company had taken “union-busting” actions.

Friday's announcement came after members of the WGA East affiliated union held a one-day strike on Aug. 5 to protest the lack of progress on an agreement.
“We are pleased to have reached a contract that we all feel reflects Crooked Media’s values and can serve as a new benchmark for our industry,” the parties said in the statement. “The union also withdraws the unfair labor charge and can say unequivocally that Crooked and its founders have upheld and continue to uphold the progressive principles, including support for unions, that our audiences have come to expect.”
The statement concluded: “Negotiations may be contentious, but we are excited about this agreement and stand ready to channel the immense talent, passion and creativity of this team by calling [Donald Trump's running mate for Vice President] J.D. Vance a creepy weirdo.”
