Clients of home sale scheme tied to HGTV stars receive $12 million in refund checks
The Federal Trade Commission is paying back $12 million to those defrauded by a Utah company tied to several HGTV stars.
Zurixx LLC lured students into expensive house flipping seminars. The company agreed to a settlement in February 2022 after it was accused of using false profit claims to lure potential real estate entrepreneurs.
Some participants paid tens of thousands of dollars to attend the Zurixx seminars.
