Daisy Ridley, star of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, is a different kind of vigilante in Zak Hilditch's upcoming horror-survival thriller "We Bury the Dead."
Daisy Ridley says reaction to STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER was "disturbing"
The film, which will have its world premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival in Australia in November, debuted Ridley as a desperate woman who joins a body retrieval unit in the hope of finding her husband alive after a disastrous military experiment wipes out the population of Tasmania. As she sifts through the corpses, she discovers that many are not quite dead.
Ridley's character looks exhausted as she travels to southern Tasmania and is forced to make peace with her own unfinished business, while facing meaninglessness.
Production wrapped earlier this year in Albany and Western Australia's Great Southern region. The film co-stars Brenton Thwaites ("Titans") and Mark Coles Smith ("Mystery Road: Origin").
