Apple TV+ has officially ordered Dark Matter Season 2 renewal for its latest sci-fi thriller-drama series. This comes after the show wrapped its first 9-episode run over a month ago, which currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Dark Matter is created, written, and executive produced by Crouch, based on his 2016 novel of the same name. The series stars Joel Edgerton as Jason Dessen, Jennifer Connelly as Daniela Dessen, Alice Braga as Amanda Lucas, Oakes Fegley as Charlie Dessen, Jimmi Simpson as Ryan Holder, Dayo Okeniyi as Leighton Vance, Amanda Brugel as Blair Caplan, and more. It is executive produced by Edgerton, Matt Tomach, and Jacquelyn Ben-Zekry.
