Larry Isenberg's death was initially ruled an accidental drowning, until an investigation into his killer, Lori Isenberg, now serving a prison sentence, proved otherwise. The case will air on Oxygen's Dateline: Unforgettable in an episode titled "Kill Switch" on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The synopsis reads: "Keith Morrison looks back on a story that he says was unusual to say the least; at first it appeared to be a drowning accident during a romantic sunset cruise; but investigators in Idaho soon suspected something more sinister."
Larry Isenberg's now-convicted killer, Lori, claimed they were sailing on Lake Coeur d'Alene to watch the sunrise when the former drowned. The incident occurred on the morning of February 13, 2018. While authorities searched for Larry, Lori was facing multiple charges of forgery and grand larceny for stealing money from her employer, the North Idaho Housing Coalition. After Larry's body was found, an autopsy confirmed he died of diphenhydramine poisoning after overdosing on the antihistamine Benadryl.
