Ryan Reynolds made sure to include a tribute to co-star Rob Delaney's late son, Henry, in Marvel's Deadpool & Wolverine, after saying he "always kicked myself in the ass" for not doing so in the franchise's second installment.
Deadpool & Wolverine Pays Sweet Tribute to Rob Delaney's Son, Who Died at 10
"If there's a silver lining, it's that more and more people are seeing Henry's name in the credits of Deadpool & Wolverine, and finally father and son are sharing the same screen," the action star wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Monday.
Henry died in 2018 at the age of 2 after being diagnosed with a brain tumor two years earlier. His death coincided with the wrapping of Deadpool 2.
"There's more to @robdelaney than some realize," Reynolds wrote. "He's one of the most subversively funny people I know. He's a wonderful, sharp, and vulnerable writer. If you looked through the credits for Deadpool & Wolverine, you might have noticed a credit that said 'For Henry Delaney'… I've always kicked myself for not putting a tribute to Henry above the end credits of DP2."
