Deadpool & Wolverine is currently dominating the box office, having grossed over $590 million worldwide. The film effectively heralded a revival for Marvel Studios, which had long struggled with subpar projects. In addition to such accolades, Deadpool & Wolverine also managed to set an incredible record for swearing.
Deadpool & Wolverine broke the F-bomb record 😂
With an F-bomb count of over 100, the film directed by Shawn Levy has broken the record for most swear words in the Deadpool franchise.
According to the New York Post, Deadpool & Wolverine contained a whopping 116 F-bombs during its 128-minute runtime, with multiple F-words also uttered during the short post-credits scene. That puts the threequel ahead of its predecessor, Deadpool 2, which had a swear word count of 90.
The addition of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine to the franchise, alongside the foul-mouthed Deadpool, has also seemingly contributed to the swear count. The claw-wielding superhero is particularly known for his aggressive demeanor, as seen in Jackman's appearances in the X-Men films. James Mangold's Logan was able to break the profanity barrier thanks to its R-rating, allowing Wolverine to use the F-bomb. It infamously registered a swear count of 40 F-words.
