Deadpool and Wolverine dominate the box office again? Trap has a decent opening?!

Marvel Studios/Disney's Deadpool & Wolverine has a long summer ahead of it. This weekend, the third installment in the Deadpool franchise becomes the highest grossing film in the United States. It's also the highest grossing R-rated film at the U.S. box office, having grossed some $380 million by Sunday.
Deadpool closed its domestic box office run in 2016 with $363 million, while Deadpool 2 ended its run in 2018 with $325 million. The highest-grossing R-rated film at the domestic box office is currently Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ with $370.7 million.
