Bell shared the video of Reynolds interviewing him on his YouTube channel. In it, Reynolds revealed that he had heard about Bell six months before filming the video. Bell's son, Jake, died in July 2020 at the age of 15 by accidental suicide. He was reportedly a huge fan of Deadpool.

Earlier this year, Reynolds and Wrexham AFC co-owner Rob McElhenney donated £15,000 to Bell's Walking 4 Hope charity initiative after the Sutton-in-Ashfield resident walked the 140-mile distance between One Call Stadium in Mansfield and STōK Cae Ras in Wrexham dressed as Deadpool and carrying a bathtub decorated with rubber ducks. Bell and Chris Atkinson, who serves as chairman of Walking 4 Hope’s board of directors, set up the charity with the help of family and friends in the hope of helping people in similar circumstances. Each of the ducks mentioned above reportedly represents someone who has lost a family supported by the charity.
